This Cookie Policy applies to our website and marketplace at https://latvianfts.verveni.com (the "Store" or "Platform"), our proprietary algorithmic trading software and indicators (the "Product"), and all related educational masterclasses and portals (collectively, the "Services").
Section 1 — What Are Cookies?
1.1 Definition: Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, enable authenticated sessions, and provide analytical data to site operators.
1.2 How Cookies Work: When you access Latvian FTS, our server transmits a session cookie to your browser. Your browser stores this cookie and returns it on subsequent requests, allowing our platform to recognize your device, maintain your login state, and deliver course progress.
1.3 First-Party vs. Third-Party Cookies:
- First-Party Cookies: Set directly by
latvianfts.verveni.com. We control these cookies directly to maintain member authentication and portal security. - Third-Party Cookies: Set by domains other than our platform, such as Google Identity Services for OAuth sign-in and Cloudflare for fast asset delivery and DDoS mitigation.
1.4 Session vs. Persistent Cookies:
- Session Cookies: Temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser. Used to keep you logged in as you navigate between lessons.
- Persistent Cookies: Remain stored on your device for a defined duration (up to 30 days) to remember your preferences upon returning.
Section 2 — Why We Use Cookies
- 2.1 Essential Website Functionality: To maintain secure user sessions (
connect.sid), authenticate members via Google OAuth 2.0, verify course enrollment, deliver generated EA license keys, and protect against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF). These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core platform functionality. - 2.2 Performance & Optimization: To measure page load speeds, ensure reliable video streaming via Cloudflare R2, and identify technical bottlenecks.
- 2.3 Functionality & Personalization: To remember volume preferences on course videos, dark/light theme options, and filter selections.
- 2.4 No Advertising Networks: We do NOT sell user data or deploy intrusive third-party cross-site advertising networks.
Section 3 — Types of Cookies We Use
| Cookie Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| connect.sid | Strictly Necessary | Encrypted session identifier to keep you signed in to your member portal and courses. | 7 to 30 days |
| g_state | Strictly Necessary | Google Identity Services (GIS) One-Tap credential prompt state. | Session / Persistent |
| __cf_bm / cf_clearance | Security / CDN | Cloudflare bot management, DDoS defense, and fast static asset caching. | 30 minutes to 1 year |
| lfts_consent | Functional | Records cookie notice acknowledgment and UI preferences. | 1 year |
Section 4 — Consent and Control
4.1 Browser Controls: Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but allow you to modify settings to decline cookies or receive alerts when a cookie is sent. You can delete cookies stored on your device at any time via your browser settings.
Warning: Disabling strictly necessary cookies (such as connect.sid) will prevent you from signing in with Google and accessing your purchased courses or EA software licenses.
4.2 Do Not Track (DNT) Signals: We respect user privacy preferences; however, because there is currently no universal standard for interpreting DNT or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, our core session cookies remain active to provide requested authentication services.
Section 5 — Responsibility and Third Parties
5.1 Provider Responsibility: Verveni Technologies is solely responsible for determining the purpose and deployment of cookies across the Latvian FTS platform. All third-party providers (such as Google LLC for authentication and Cloudflare for media delivery) operate strictly under service agreements.
5.2 Third-Party Privacy Policies: For detailed disclosures regarding third-party service providers, please review:
- Google Privacy & Terms: policies.google.com/privacy
- Cloudflare Privacy Policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
Section 6 — Compliance Framework
This Cookie Policy complies with:
- The Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07] of Zimbabwe;
- The ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC (as amended);
- The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 for international students.
Under ePrivacy Directive Article 5(3), cookies strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user (such as maintaining a user session after login) are exempt from requiring separate opt-in consent.
Section 7 — Updates & Contact Information
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect technological or regulatory modifications. Updates will be posted on this page with an updated timestamp.
